My case was quite complex and different from the usual — it involved a long and challenging attempt to align my canines, which proved to be a painful and exhausting journey. Despite the difficulties, both doctors remained incredibly supportive throughout. Dr. Harleen, in particular, always made sure I was comfortable, calm, and cared for. Even though the final outcome was not exactly how we had initially planned, I truly appreciate the dedication and effort that went into every step of the process. What stood out most was their patience and willingness to adjust as needed — never saying no to any change I requested, and even being available on Sundays when required. Their commitment to my well-being and satisfaction made a difficult journey feel manageable. Thank you, Dr. Harleen and Dr. Ragini, for your genuine care and professionalism. I’ll always return to you for anything dental-related. Priya Pal18 July 2025 I got my Invisalign treatment done by Dr. Harleen, and she is absolutely amazing. Periodontal disease is a chronic inflammation and infection of the gums and surrounding tissue. It is the major cause of about 70 percent of adult tooth loss, affecting three out of four persons at some point in their life – Periodontal Splinting in South Delhi. Periodontal diseases include gingivitis and periodontitis.
Periodontal disease may cause teeth to become mobile. As a way of stabilizing the teeth, the teeth may be attached to one another with a splint. This is often done with composite resin and a nylon mesh – Periodontal Splinting in South Delhi.
Teeth may become loose and unstable due to several factors including severe bone loss, gum recession, trauma, drifting teeth and traumatic occlusion (heavy biting forces). Several treatment options exist to stabilize weak periodontally involved teeth. These include Intracoronal splinting & Extracoronal splinting – Teeth Splinting Treatment in India
It is a semi-permanent procedure involving preparing a channel inside the teeth and filling the connecting channels with a “kevlar like” white ribboned or a wire. Then, a white composite filling is placed into the channel preparation, covering the Ribboned or wire. Afterwards, the bite (occlusion) needs to be checked and adjusted, so that all the teeth hit with equal force
It is a completely reversible procedure. The weak teeth are connected with a bonded white composite filling material on the outside of the teeth. Sometimes, a wire, metal plate or Ribbon is encorporated with the bonded filling material on the outside of the teeth for additional support. This type of splint usually does not last as long as an Intracoronal Splint and is subject to fracture more readily. It is usually used for a more short term need.
this is not recommended as the gum disease will likely progress leading to loss of teeth. As the teeth become more mobile they are likely to drift therefore resulting in the change of the bite and creating spaces between the teeth and at their necks- Teeth Splinting in Delhi
See a dentist to stabilize the gum disease, the teeth may appear firmer and then it is up to you whether you want to pro-actively have them splinted.
Following stabilization of periodontal disease to have orthodontic treatment to align the teeth.
This is a suitable option as long as the teeth supporting the bridge have sufficient tooth structure and adequate bone support.
Prior to having implants (which involves surgery), the patient must have the periodontal condition stabilized to reduce failure. Not all patients are suitable for implants.
This is a removable appliance (advised to remove at night) replacing missing teeth and soft tissues.
This can be carried out using various techniques. This is least invasive, reliable form of treatment. Unfortunately, many patients are not presented with this treatment option and have teeth extracted which could have potentially been delayed.
There are several methods when it comes to splinting teeth. However, many can lead to failure due to the intricate nature of the treatment and compromised condition of the teeth.
The treatment recommended is using Ever Stick Perio. This is a bundle of pre-impregnated unidirectional glass fibres allowing us to reliably splint teeth using the minimally invasive dentistry concept. This offers a long lasting, minimally invasive and a comfortable solution for periodontally compromised patients – Teeth Splinting in Delhi
The aesthetic glass fibre is hidden behind the teeth and is bonded to teeth using aesthetic resin (after a shade match). This fibre splint is not visible therefore providing excellent aesthetics. This is a very technique sensitive procedure which can allow us to carefully reposition mobile teeth (close any spaces that may have recently opened up) and splint them together. By splinting the teeth, the adjacent teeth are used for anchorage creating one solid unit and reducing/eliminated any mobility. Furthermore, an added bonus is if the tooth does require extraction in the future, the root can be sectioned off (amputated) leaving the patients natural crown in the splint (aesthetically the most natural bridge as the patient’s own tooth is used).
